monday can be mother's day

This wonderful passion fruit cake was so lovingly baked for me as a belated Mother's Day treat. My sweet 12 year old son was stressed about not having it baked upon arriving at his Dad's house to pick him up. "It ok", I declared "Monday can be Mothers Day too", - a big grin shot across his face. If there's one thing I have learnt about motherhood it is about being flexible and creative. So, on this lovely Monday afternoon our family sat around the table and all enjoyed a piece of my Mother's Day cake.

What a beautiful cake and a very thoughtful gift, I can tell it was made with lots of love. Yummmy yummy, wish I had a piece. Maybe in years to come I may be so lucky as to have my children make me a cake also. Love Kit xxx.

I love your boy. He has always been such a quirky creative character! on tiptoes.....
i wonder where he gets his kind heart and creative streak from, my dear friend??

yes, i love my boy too. Thank goodness for steiner schools - it continues to nurture his creativity ... forgot about the tiptoes... they left him with the change of teeth. He is quite a grounded young lad now. x
